Let's have a vintage New Year

Guys, it's December 31st. Tomorrow's gonna be January 1st.  Let's celebrate with some vintage New Years photography!

Ooooh la la, Bonjur, Fromage...other French words. (Guys I know all painters aren't French.)
This is what I plan on wearing tonight and the exact amount of balloons I plan on carrying around with me.
I have literally never seen a more terrifying depiction of a New Years party.
Those ruffles, those bows...yes please!

So there you go, we know you'll be celebrating your New Year with the same style and class as these ladies(and terrifying drawings) of yesteryear. We want to thank you for business and hope to see you all soon in 2013! Happy New Year!

Freckle's top 3 reasons to celebrate today & what we'd love for Christmas!

1. It's Friday!
For the record I don't recommend going to a party where all your friends are glowing and vaguely orange. I don't recommend having radioactive friends at all actually.

2. The world didn't end!
Though if it did we could have rebuilt it and it probably would've looked like this...oooooh a monorail!

3. Christmas is crazy soon!
Christmas is synonymous with food for me. Look at that turkey glisten...I can't stop staring at this picture.

And now...what we want for Christmas!

 1. Anything from Sprout(S.W. Basics)

Ceasefire, part of their Cocktail Trio

2. Beautiful, Beautiful Scotch Naturals

So simple, but will have your skin feeling tight and right this holiday season!

Merry Christmas everyone! We'll see you in the new year!

A word from our friends at Amber Organic Tan Studio or how I learned to stop worrying and shine bright like a diamond

Shine Bright Like a Diamond
by

Every woman wants to look her best during the holiday season. Office parties, friendly holiday gatherings and finally New Year’s Eve are some of the occasions where your fun personality and great looks will be on show.  Get yourself ready in time!  Don’t wait until the very last moment.  A sparkling dress is not enough!

It is my pleasure to give you some tips on how and when to get your airbrush tan so your skin looks healthy and glowing.

First, plan your airbrush tanning session carefully and in advance. Opt for places that offer organic and natural based tanning formulas because your skin should be treated in a decent way and shouldn’t be sprayed with chemicals (we are surrounded by way too many chemicals in our daily life).  I am sure that Google engine will help you find a decent place near you (Amber Organic Tan Studio in Greenpoint, Brooklyn).  Then, as a best option, I suggest that you book your UV Free tanning appointment two days before any scheduled party or special event.  Why?  Simply put, the formula applied to your skin will have enough time to calm down and give the best results possible.

Second, start moisturizing twice daily two days prior to your visit (especially in winter time).  If you have a habit of exfoliating your skin at least once a week then exfoliate on the same day your airbrush tanning appointment is scheduled.  If you don’t exfoliate on regular basis then exfoliate, two nights before your visit.  By exfoliating your skin you remove dead skin cells, oil and dirt and create a perfect surface for tanning formula to stick to your outer layer of your skin.

Third, always wear loose and dark clothes to your sunless tanning session in order to avoid any abrasions.  I always tell my clients that they should imagine they are covered with a coat of a fresh paint [a good-for-you coat!] and they need to be aware of that fact until they take their first shower.

Finally, don’t be shy and talk to your technician and ask all the possible questions. The more you know about airbrush tanning better the results!
